The Guide: Amsterdam

Yesterday my Australian friend Hannah and I went to Amsterdam, and along the way met up with two other HWS students visiting from Aix-en-Provence. We were able to hit up the Van Gogh Museum, Heineken Experience and got some Dutch pancakes before hand. I plan to go to the city another day and try to do way more but for now this was a nice taste of what a cool city Amsterdam is.

One funny story from the trip is that I walked into the tourist office across the street and thought the postcards in there were free because I couldn't see a price anywhere; only later does my friend tell me they cost one euro - meanwhile I took seven.

 

If you want to find this sign it is right in front of the Rijksmuseum on the far side of the city.

 

A friend put me onto Lion while in Paris. It's like a Snickers but better - always try to get the king size.
